Congress Is Absolutely Wrong to Equate Anti-Zionism With Antisemitism

The conflation of anti-zionism with antisemitism only serves antisemites (and those who benefit from antisemitism). Conflating the two means that the energy minima here becomes antisemitism. You literally set up a slippery slope of hate. I’ve seen this on the left many times already. I was having coffee with an well known left NZ politician and her friend. They started pillorying Israel and then at the very next breath it was all about the Jews. My wife, at the time, was Jewish (I was a goy-boy for 14 years)… I let rip with that little bit of information and walked out of the cafe.

This is a rhetorical trick that should be recognized as being as dangerous as it is.

The US Congress has passed an absurd resolution proclaiming that “anti-Zionism is antisemitism.” It ignores the many Jewish Americans who oppose Israel’s apartheid state and slanders advocates for universal democratic rights as antisemites.
