The Colorado Supreme Court has ruled to remove Donald Trump from the state’s 2024 election ballot. The attempt will likely fail and backfire — but it’s indicative of American liberalism’s current distaste for the unpredictable messiness of democracy.
The decision to lean into this approach to the ballot is going to cause more problems than it solves. I have a bad feeling about it. It plays right into Trumps victimhood… and thus gives him more oxygen. There is going to unintended consequences and very nasty feedback loops.
