… and a lot of us are like:

A good friend, who is ex-Apple, suggested that the second to last project he’d want to work on was the AVP… just above the Meta Quest.
Google Glass had Scoble in the shower (sorry, sorry)… AVP has Neistat struggling up the steps of a subway station. They’re both dorky devices that isolate you. The utility isn’t a multiplier. Me using a head set doesn’t add to you’re experience. Even a phone has “here, let me show you”.
VR was a formative component of my last year at high school… i was a BELIEVER.

I WANT to be proven wrong… but I know enough to know I won’t be.
There has been amazing work done on this product. Yeah, I wish I had experienced some of those “a-ha” moments the team must’ve had. It must’ve been magic. But if you start from a deeply flawed premise nothing can prevent you from making a gorgeous man looking like a complete dork.

Update 24 Apr:
Apple is expecting Vision Pro shipments to decline year-over-year in 2025 compared to 2024, and the company is said to be “reviewing and adjusting” its headset product roadmap. Kuo does not believe there will be a new Vision Pro model in 2025, an adjustment to a prior report suggesting a modified version of the Vision Pro would enter mass production late next year.
