I’m a software engineer. I’m used to languages being used for a purpose – some languages are better at certain things. I also spend a lot of time as an advisor to other business people.

Yesterday I had a call with a friend and I was struck by how we used ‘woo’ terms to navigate an idea space. The ‘woo’ was a metaphorical tool-set that allowed us to jump to key points quickly. We then switched to business language to deal with business topics. I do wonder if ‘woo’ is the language we use to navigate around the event horizon of the god shaped hole.
